About Forge
Forge opened in 2016 because the area needed a gym with real equipment, real coaching, and zero attitude. That's still what we're about.
Your coaches
Our team lifts too. They know what it takes, and they're here every day to help you get there.
Head Coach & Owner
NSCA-CSCS · 14 years coaching
Derek opened Forge in 2016 because he believed Greencastle deserved a gym with serious equipment and an even more serious coaching staff. He still runs the morning strength program every weekday and takes real pride in knowing every member by name.
Personal Trainer
NASM-CPT · Pre/postnatal specialist · 7 yrs
Jess specializes in helping people build strength from zero — whether you've never touched a barbell or you're returning after an injury. Her sessions are challenging, methodical, and genuinely encouraging.
Group Fitness Instructor
ACE-GFI · HIIT & Strength · 5 yrs
Marcus brings the energy to every class without making it feel like a punishment. His HIIT and full-body strength sessions are packed — members say they keep coming back because the hour flies by.
Wellness & Recovery Coach
NASM-CPT · Corrective Exercise Specialist · 6 yrs
Tara bridges the gap between hard training days and smart recovery. She runs mobility and stretching sessions and works one-on-one with members dealing with nagging pain or imbalances that keep getting in the way.

From our members
“I've been a member since 2019 and I've never considered leaving. The coaches know your name, the equipment is always in good shape, and the vibe is just — real. No attitude, no ego.”
“Jess helped me get back into lifting after a knee surgery. She was patient, knowledgeable, and pushed me exactly as much as I needed. I'm stronger now than before the injury.”
“I drive from Chambersburg because no gym closer to me has this combination of equipment and coaching. The group classes alone are worth the membership.”
